In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. The hairpin legs are made from steel, which is then either spray painted with a paint colour or electro-plated with a thin layer of real copper or brass. The result is a metal leg that is strong and durable, and also looks fantastic.
