Product Description

Phlox 'Famous Purple' is a stunning herbaceous perennial, celebrated for its clusters of vibrant purple flowers with a subtle white eye. These fragrant blooms appear on upright stems, making the plant an excellent choice for adding vertical interest to garden borders. Growing between 0.5 to 1 metre in height, this perennial forms a neat, columnar habit with dark green, lance-shaped foliage that contrasts beautifully with the vivid purple flowers. Blooming from July to September, this plant is perfect for adding long-lasting colour and fragrance to summer gardens, while also attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies. Thriving in moist, well-drained soil, Phlox 'Famous Purple' prefers a sunny or partially shaded position. It benefits from regular watering, particularly during dry periods, to maintain healthy growth and extended blooming. The plant is easy to care for and responds well to deadheading, which promotes more flowers throughout the season. Its hardiness (H7) makes it resilient in severe winters, making it a reliable and attractive addition to UK gardens. Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth. A fragrant, herbaceous perennial with clusters of vivid purple, tubular flowers. Grows to a height of 50 to 100 cm with a spread of approximately 50 to 100 cm. Blooms throughout summer, offering vibrant colour from July to September. Prefers well-drained, moist soil in full to partial sun with regular watering.
