Product Description

Actaea pachypoda 'White Pearl', also known as White Baneberry, is a stunning woodland perennial known for its distinctive white flowers and unique berry-like fruits. The plant thrives in shaded garden areas, where its finely divided dark green foliage creates a lush backdrop for the delicate clusters of white blooms. As the flowering period transitions into late summer, the flowers develop into striking white berries with a characteristic black dot, often referred to as "doll's eyes," adding a bold ornamental feature to the plant. With a compact growth habit reaching 90 cm in height and a spread of 60 cm, Actaea pachypoda 'White Pearl' is well-suited to shaded borders, woodland gardens, and naturalistic planting schemes. It prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil and requires regular watering, particularly during dry spells. This perennial is relatively low-maintenance but benefits from mulching to retain soil moisture and protect its roots. Its long season of interest makes it a versatile addition to any garden looking for texture and unique colour. Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth. A hardy, clump-forming perennial with striking white flowers and green foliage. Reaches a height of 90 cm and a spread of 60 cm, making it ideal for borders. Flowers in late spring to early summer, followed by striking white berries. Prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade.
