Lavandula angustifolia Hidcote, more commonly known as English Lavender, is a bushy, dwarf shrub. It has evergreen foliage, meaning it will maintain its lovely, silvery-grey leaves all-year-round. Lovely, purple flowers will join that in Summertime to add both colour and fragrance to the garden. The flowers will appear on unbranched stalks, giving it an upright stature that makes it very eye-catching. You can also use this variety in many of your favourite meals to add a delicious, sweet flavour to them. It should always be placed in an area of full sunlight. Its soil should be either sandy or chalky and watered moderately. Using dry soil as a gauge for when to water the plant is advised as it doesn't need to remain moist at all times to survive.
