Thompson & Morgan Clematis Snow Queen 2 Litre Potted Plant X 1 59445

Thompson & Morgan Clematis ‘Snow Queen’ bears large, white flowers with a soft mauve tint which gently fades away. Clematis ‘Snow Queen’ is at its best in early summer, and produces a second flush of flowers in late summer that are often striped with pale pink. Thompson & Morgan Clematis ‘Snow Queen’ is a great companion climber, but is equally as stunning when grown on its own in borders or containers. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded position when growing Thompson & Morgan Clematis ‘Snow Queen’ and plant the climber deeply in moist, fertile, well-drained soil, positioning the root ball at a depth of 7.5cm (3”) below soil level, in order to encourage new shoots to form from the base of the plant. Clematis dislike soils that are particularly wet or dry, however these soil conditions can be improved with the addition of plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. When planting clematis in containers, use a good quality soil based compost. Train clematis plants onto a suitable support such as trellis, wires of a freestanding climbing frame. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Thompson & Morgan Clematis ‘Snow Queen’ flowers in summer on new stems developed from the previous year’s growth. Pruning of Group 2 clematis should be undertaken in spring, before active growth begins, by removing any damaged or dead stems entirely before cutting back the remaining stems to a pair of healthy buds.
