This beautiful climbing Clematis produces wonderful pale-pink double-flowers, that look just like a Dahlia. ‘Dancing Smile’ is the result of horticultural cross-breeding programme from Germany in 2004. From early May to end of June, it will produce huge swathes of flowers, followed by another show late Summer. This variety is supplied as a pinched plant, with 3 breaks. Pot up clematis plants and grow them on until large enough to plant in their final positions. When planting clematis, choose a position in sun or semi-shade and plant the climber deeply in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Position the top of the root-ball at a depth of 7.5cm (3") below soil level, to encourage new shoots to form from the base of the plant. Clematis doesn’t like soils that are particularly wet or dry. Such soils can be improved by the addition of plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. When growing clematis in patio containers use a soil based compost such as John Innes No.3. Train clematis plants onto a suitable support such as trellis, wires or a freestanding climbing frame. Product Specifications: Position: FULL SUN OR PARTIAL SHADE Height: Up to 150cm (60") when fully established Spread: Up to 75cm (30") when fully established Supplied as 1 x 2 Litre Pot Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
