Coventry Corporation

Limited Edition

Corgi Toys was

created by the Mettoy (\""Metal Toy\"") company, who decided to produce a

range of diecast toy vehicles as competition to Dinky, which had dominated the

British market for many years. \""Corgi Toys\"" were introduced in the UK

in July 1956 and were manufactured in Swansea, Wales, for 27 years before the

company went into liquidation.

There have been several changes of ownership over the years, but the Corgi brand is still around, having been acquired by Hornby in 2008. Model buses have been a regular feature of Corgi's releases over the years, and Original Omnibus Co. is a sub-brand of Corgi which aimed to produce the most accurate diecast replicas possible.

This model was released in 2003. It depicts a Daimler Utility bus in the livery of Coventry Corporation. It carries Fleet No. 375,  and the destination board sho.
